What We Don’t Believe:
Hyper-Grace: The belief that since we are “once saved, always saved,” we can just live however we want without the fear of God.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Proverbs 1:7)
Salvation by Works: The belief that God will accept you because of the good things you do.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Prosperity Gospel: The belief that God wants all of his children to be “rich.” Translated, if you lack, then there’s something wrong with you.
A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. (Psalm 37:16)
Open-Arms Jesus: The belief that Jesus accepts sinners “as they are” with no life-transforming repentance after salvation.
Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. (James 2:17)
The Church Building: The belief that you must belong to an “official church” and be on an “official church roster,” in order to be saved. The Body of Christ is human beings, not a building.
…and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16:18)
Division: If you have come to this blog to pick a fight. Go somewhere else. The Body of Christ has better things to do than bicker over doctrine.
…in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. (Matthew 15:9, Mark 7:7)
What We Do Believe:
The Saving Blood of Jesus.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)
That the Law Will Go Forth From Zion. God’s promises to the Jewish people still stand.
And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. (Isaiah 2:3)
Seek ye First the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. Above all else!
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. (Matthew 6:33)
Humility before Honor. We should be bold, not arrogant, in our spreading of the gospel.
The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. (Proverbs 15:33)
Faith Comes by Hearing. People can’t know unless you tell them about the gospel!
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! (Isaiah 52:7)
Discipleship. I wish someone had been there to teach me this stuff!!!
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (Titus 2:3-5)
God Will Judge the World. God absolutely will punish the ungodly. May he have mercy on us all!
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (2 Corinthians 5:10)
