Japan has lost a Christian giant. Shigeaki Hinohara was one of the most prominent, well-known Christians in Japan. Born in 1911, Dr. Hinohara lived to be 105 years old and was active even up to the end of his life. We have lost another righteous man to fill in the gap between Japan and God’s wrath. Where are the youth to take his place? Where is that new generation to sing Hosanna?
We thank you for the life and testimony of Dr. Hinohara. What a beautiful life! What a beautiful testimony! God, may it be known to Japanese people that this man was a Christian. May they see your people and praise your name. May you give comfort to his family during this time of mourning. Thank you God for people like this to give us hope!
God, we desperately need a new generation with this kind of vigor to accomplish your Will here in Japan. May we walk in the fear of God, always remembering our time is short. Please send us workers to help harvest souls for Your Kingdom in this stubborn Nation. May we all be encouraged by this man’s life and inspired to live our lives to the fullest each day.
In Jesus’ Name,
And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; (1 Thessalonians 5:12)
And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (1 Peter 4:18)
Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest. (Luke 10:2)
