Do You Have Your Backpack Ready?

Anyone who has been paying attention to the news lately has seen that there is a lot of fear about a potential missile strike from North Korea. Many TV programs lately have been advertising luxurious bomb shelters, gas masks, and instructions on what to do in case of an attack. It is always a good idea regardless of circumstances to be sure to have a backpack on hand, ready to go, just in case things do turn out for the worst. For parents with small children this is even more of a necessity and should not be overlooked or put off.

Now is the time. Christians especially should have their families mentally and physically prepared for disaster so as best to serve others.

You can get a list of things to put in your backpack from the recent government issued list:

Other notes to consider:

–>It’s a good idea to be sure that all important documents are sealed in a waterproof plastic bag.

–>Personal hygiene items like a toothbrush and toothpaste along with feminine napkins should also be included on this list.

–>If you have kids, some kind of amusement should be included as well.

–>Be sure to check if you can handle the overall weight of your bag.

–>Rope is pictured but not listed. Paracord and a nice tarp would be wise to consider in case you are forced to make your own makeshift shelter.

–>Ladies! Do not underestimate the necessity of those white masks everybody wears! You don’t want to your face standing out in emergencies!
